Spencer Farrell '25 Recruiting Profile

I have had a passion and drive to play at the collegiate level since my first basketball game in parks & rec. I've watched some amazing college players and I even had the awesome opportunity to scrimmage against Blake Buchanan who now plays for Virginia.  I am driven to compete at a higher level and have the discipline and commitment to work hard to be at that level.  I have more to learn and I am always willing to learn to improve myself and also improve as a leader to my team to build them up to be the best they can be so that we can be the best together.  I'm  coachable, I'm respectful, and I play with intensity.  I have excellent court vision which enables me to increase my assists, steals, and level of defense.  I work daily on ball handling and shooting for my point guard position. I am a very good teammate and bring positive energy to my teammates to encourage them during difficult games or when they aren't playing their best because I know we all need each other to have our backs and help us up mentally, and sometimes physically, when the game is rough and difficult. I want coaches to tell me what I can improve on and challenge me to do the work.  I want to be held accountable and pushed to do better.  I work hard to improve my daily disciplines so that I can contribute best to myself and to my team. I believe I am an asset to my team and to my school. I strive for excellence not only on the court, but off the court in my academics as well.  I currently have a 3.57 cumulative GPA and this year I am also taking Dual Credit classes so that I can attain my AA degree upon graduation from high school next year.  This adds much to my academic plate and is very challenging, but it will be worth it and I enjoy the challenge and rigor in academics.
