Omari Kamal '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Omari Kamal and my goal is to play basketball professionally. Although I know it won’t be easy, I am willing to do anything my coaches and trainers tell me to do in order to achieve this goal. 

I am presently a Junior and have played organized basketball since the 3rd grade.  One of the biggest lessons that I’ve been given, during this time, is that finding a program that I ‘fit’ within is infinitely more important than ‘name brand’.  This said, regarding college, I’m committed to finding a program that I can best help win and that best prepares me to play professionally.

With respect to basketball, I believe that my biggest strengths are IQ, shooting and leadership.  Academically, Freshman year, I earned all A’s, in honors classes, and have a 4.7 GPA.  My other interests include Chess and stock market investing.
