This 2022-2023 basketball season has been an incredible journey for me. I am proud to share that I broke the all-time single-season scoring record at my school, and as a sophomore have with a total of 886 varsity points, and an outstanding single-season record of 567 points. Additionally, I broke multiple single-game scoring records and came within 1 point of breaking the all-time single-game record.
I had multiple games with over 40 points and even more games with over 30 points. I also won the tournament MVP in several outings and received all-conference honors. I led my team in every statistical category except rebounds, where I came in second. To top it off, I was named All-Conference First Team in Illinois for 2025 student-athletes, which puts me in the top 10 high school basketball players of the class of 2025 in the state Illinois.

2021-2022 Season - Freshman - Starting Varsity Point Guard.
As a freshman playing varsity - led in scoring averaging 15 ppg while shooting 54% from the floor, 40% from the 3-point line & 80% from the FT line.
As a freshman playing varsity - Named Honorable Mention for Chicago Daily Herald All-Area Basketball team.
I love and have excelled at very high-level competitive sports my entire life, but my true passion has always been basketball. I aspire to play at the highest collegiate level possible. I thrive on winning and always put team first. As a true point guard making the team better is my job. I can truly care less how many points I score as long as we walk away with a win.
By working hard year round, I put myself in a position to be the varsity starting point guard as a young freshman. At this point in the season lead the team in many stats including scoring. Playing in some of the country’s most competitive tournaments and leagues I am known for having some of the best ball handling skills and court vision in the region with a very high basketball IQ . Even as a young Freshman I have been able to play against and with some of the country’s most premier players including multiple committed D1 Chicago area athletes.
As a student I am enrolled in primarily honors courses and currently have a GPA of 4.5, but honestly, I just can't wait to get on the court at the end of the school day!
Compliments from coaches is something I am very proud of:
- "It's just a totally different team when Luke is out there" - Coach Dan
- "I have only seen a few players over the course of my coaching carrier with the court vision, decision making, and ability to make the team better like Luke." - Coach Matt
- "Luke is a beast. To be able to do what he's doing at a varsity level as a Freshman is very impressive" - Coach Josh
