Being moved up to varsity for regionals my freshmen year in high school really opened my eyes and made me realize how hard I had worked to get to that spot. However, I feel I grew the most as a student- athlete during the off season going into my junior year. I worked out everyday, improved my basketball skills and fundamentals, and raised my conditioning level. That off season helped me grow as a person, become a better leader and it made me really focus on putting in the work to play at the college level.
I am very fortunate to have been playing varsity basketball since the end of my freshmen year. Competing against bigger and stronger players helped me improve both offensively and defensively. Playing varsity ball also exposed me to the quicker pace of play and helped me improve my level of competitiveness. I learned the value of teamwork, sacrifice, and what it takes to be a leader on and off the court. I am looking for a program that will athletically and academically be a good fit for me. I not only have the skills to compete in college, but the character, work ethic and leadership that that will make a big impact on your program immediately.
