Kaiden Breckon '23 Recruiting Profile

Basketball has always been my sport. I started playing when I was in the first grade. Since I was the tallest, I would always play center. That changed in junior high. I was able to develop in other positions on the court and be a better all around player. I would say that I am respectful on and off the court, even if I do not always agree with the call or the game plan. I consider myself a leader to my teammates and am always willing to help out. I am a quiet, hardworking player with a high basketball IQ. I have a strong work ethic on and off the court. I started my own business selling firewood and will volunteer this summer to help feed the youth in my community. During my freshman year, I started JV and earned a Varsity letter. My sophomore year was not ideal for school ball due to Covid. This year I am a Varsity starter and is considered to be one of the top scorers on my team. My basketball goal is to be able to play at the next level, to continue learning the sport and to grow as a player. As a student, my current GPA is 3.9. I was recently inducted into the National Honor Society and was named an Illinois State Scholar. My academic goal is to earn a degree in Engineering or Architecture.
