My name is Josiah Watson and I am a focused athlete driven by my faith and academic experience. I have been playing basketball as long as I have been able to dribble a ball and have a deep love and respect for the sport. As a junior in high school, I am deeply committed to both academic excellence and my passion for basketball. I currently serve as the Varsity Shooting Guard for First Baptist Christian School in Danville, IL. After years of dedication to the sport, I have set my aspirations on competing at the college level. I am a Presidential Scholar with a 4.0 GPA on the path to Valedictorian of my class. I have been Class President all 3 years of high school. I participate in community service hours for days in the community and volunteer at church. I have refereed for club and district sports and volunteer in the spring for basketball and sports camps for elementary school-aged children. Playing basketball is more than a sport to me. It provides discipline, hard work, competition, and meaningful relationships with teammates. I am coachable and very driven and will always work hard not only for myself but for my team. Basketball is an integral part of my life.
