Payton Cook '23 Recruiting Profile

Basketball has been a love of mine since I was a little kid. I have been around the sport since I could remember. My competitiveness and drive motivates me to go as far as I can in this sport. My coaches tell me my strongest assets are my motor, my height and shooting ability. At 6’7 most people think I should only be in the paint. I like to prove people wrong with my ability to play any position, anywhere on the court. My goal is to play NCAA Division I basketball. Currently I am a freshman at Illinois Central College in Peoria Il. I‘m excited to get this opportunity to compete at this level.  It is pushing me to become a better player and teammate for when I am able to transfer to a university.
