Jakub Kowal '19 Recruiting Profile

Hi! Ever since I have been introduced to the game of basketball I have given it my all.  Growing up, my parents taught me work ethic by telling me how they started off their lives when they came from Poland to the U.S. They told me that with hard work and determination, all my dreams can come true. I have strived on the court as well as the weight room to become a better player. The paint is where I work the best. I am fast, physical, and a team player. I can finish strong at the rim as well as pull up and sink a shot. Taking care of the ball is also a great skill my team shares that helps us beat others. Leadership is a strong characteristic that is present with me as I have the honor to be team captain. 

School is a very important place where responsibility and hard work transfer have to present. I am in honors classes and classes that are for students that are a year older than me. I focus on school work in an out of class which can be reflected by grades. I also lead in class and do my best to help those who need a better understanding of what we are learning.

I aspire to play college basketball and beyond that. It has been my dream ever since I played my first basketball game to take my hard work, determination, and my responsibility to help me get to the highest level of basketball. Education is something that I value as it is my goal to be the first member of my family to attend college. I will do everything in my power to accomplish all of my goals that will help me achieve my big dream of playing basketball at the highest level.
