Personal Statement

I have loved the game of basketball since I was very young.  It's been a way for me to learn valuable life skills such as leadership, teamwork, and communication.  Going to the Elite 8 as a freshman was an impactful experience to start my high school career.  It made me understand the dedication and teamwork required to make it into the post season.  However, my sophomore year as we worked to rebuild our team after the graduation of many seniors, I grew the most as a student-athlete and learned how to build relationships with players and form a family.  That experience helped me grow as a person and led me to re-focus my efforts to become a point guard capable of playing at the college level.

I was fortunate enough to be part of an amazing program, working under 2 very different coaches and experiencing both winning and growth-oriented seasons.  Each year I’ve played brought different challenges and allowed me to learn the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe it’s important that our team form bonds both on and off the court and am looking for a program that thinks the same way.  I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the focus, work-ethic, and leadership skills to excel.  As a three-sport All-State athlete and 3-time captain, I know I have what it takes to make an immediate impact on your program.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
