Jared McIntyre '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jared McIntyre, as a kid growing up I always had a passion for the game of basketball. This passion started when  I was younger because it was the sport my siblings and I grew up playing together.  I found that my love for basketball came from the joy of playing, but it grew to another level when I learned the true meaning of quality time.  I was fortunate enough to have the best of both worlds, the game and my family.  I call that a recipe for success!  As I advanced through the different stages of my life, I started to play competitive basketball and the love for the game continued to grow.  Passion is what I feel on the court, which brings me happiness and in turn, I fell in love with the game and I just want to continue play organized basketball as long as I can.

When you find what motivates you, it becomes a life long craft and you work hard at your craft until it becomes your art. That is my ultimate goal.  Basketball truly is my motivation and it pushes me to do better in school, in life and has made me become a leader.  

Yes! I want to be great on the court but most importantly I want to be great in life.  I want to able to use my voice and work with other people in a positive way because basketball has created an opportunity for me do just that.  

As I stated before, I would love to continue to play basketball in college and carry what I have learned on every team that I have been a part of.  Continuing to build life long relationships/bonds and learning how to get through the hard times by creating experiences and unforgettable memories that will last a life time.
