Personal Statement
I am a 20 year old 6ft.0 point guard currently at NCAA D2 Belmont Abbey College N.C. I transferred from Waubonsee College IL after a Covid 19 affected 2020-21 season. Excelling on and off the basketball court is my biggest motivation, but more importantly I am all about maintaining healthy relationships and giving back to the wider community. I am all about team and bringing the best out of me and others.
I attended one of the UK's best invitational basketball academies, Oaklands College in 2017-8 playing in the Elite Athlete Basketball League (EABL) whilst also achieving the Elite Athlete registration under the UK's Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence ( AASE) program. I transferred and graduated at Long Road Sixth Form College Cambridge in August 2020 following a successful season as captain of the Basketball Academy. I was crowned MVP for the 2019/20 season and lead the team to the UK East Region Association of Colleges Championship for the 2019/20 season. Whilst with Oaklands Wolves U18 men we came joint top in the tough Central Premier Conference league and making it to the playoffs in 2019. At U16 level I was selected to be part of the East of England preliminary U16 squad in 2017, the team went on to win the England U16 tournament. In my early years with Cambridge Cats, I was season MVP.
My basketball journey started at an early age in England United Kingdom at around 13 years old, this was on the back playing soccer and participating at some of the UK's best academy development programs including at Liverpool Football Club, Everton FC, Ipswich FC and Cambridge United FC. Due to this exposure, I understand the culture of competitive elite sport and am prepared to train and compete at the highest level in any sport.
