I was influenced by my grandpa's love of basketball, to start playing myself. I started playing in third grade, but didn't start really enjoying it until fifth grade when I was getting better and started playing travel ball too. Through hard work and dedication to getting better at the game, I've learned that I can accomplish things that I set my mind to. I plan on trying out for club teams this fall, going into my freshman year. An obstacle I've had to overcome through my basketball career is learning that winning isn't everything because playing tough competition means that it's going to be hard to beat those teams when your team isn't at the level of play as them. Some unique skills that I have are being able to see the court offensively and having a strong left hand to dribble and finish with as a dominate right-handed player.
My goals for the future academically are maintaining a 4.0 in high school and also in college. I plan on finding a program that will be best for me academically and if possible also athletically. I believe that as I progress throughout my high school career, I will have what it takes to compete at the college level. I would bring a great work-ethic and a winning attitude to any program. I hope you consider me as a prospect for your program.
