Dear Coaches,

I have the pleasure of sharing my future hopes and dreams for college; I  believe I am an excellent candidate for your team not only because of my athletic abilities but also because my character and academic value set me apart from other recruits.

My major focus is to excel in my education and maintain high grades as well as on the court. My current GPA is 3.9, I intend to maintain the same grade and an even higher one while investing myself in practices and games in a seamless. As a student-athlete, my unwavering and balanced dedication, commitment, and discipline to sportsmanship make me a valuable asset to your team.

I have been a leader since the young age of fourteen, I inspired my basketball teammates back then to be the best version of themselves and to work hard. I aspire to continually be a leader on the team, and contribute positively to the team's grand success by being a team player and taking initiative. I am a good communicator, and coachable, I do take feedback and setbacks as a learning opportunity.

I am self-driven both physically and mentally, with a good work ethic, and can go beyond limitations. I am ready to grow myself and the team be it through training, learning new ways of playing the game, and being a moral anchor to teammates.

I am very confident that my collegiate goals, character, athletic abilities, and academic excellence make me an all-rounded athlete, and very much look forward to joining your team and bringing change and success. Thank you for considering me on your team.
