In college, I will be seeking an engineering degree and would like to maintain a high GPA and play basketball. I hope to be able to contribute not only to my team, but also to the university and the community. I would like to make an positive impact on the team and provide leadership as appropriate. Continuing to develop my basketball skills and my body, would also be important. In addition to my ball handling skills, I think what makes me a good candidate for any team is my personal integrity along with my work ethic. I am working to develop my leadership skills which would be an asset to the team. I volunteer at several youth basketball camps.
Some of what sets me apart from others is that I look forward to workouts, and while they may be difficult, I think about the results my workouts bring to my game. Since 7th grade I have been dedicated to playing only basketball, giving up football and soccer. I have a personal trainer who is a former international basketball player named Dennis Stills who teaches "old school" basketball skills and workouts.
I am in a highly ranked Aerospace and Engineering program at my high school, which is something that not many high schools in the country have. This program has allowed me to learn college level engineering concepts in design, manufacturing, and robotics. In my sophomore year I made my very own class ring. I have been raised to have very high morals and high expectations for myself.
