Steven Day '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Steven Day and I am a 6'4, 190lb junior at Fairview Independent High School in Ashland, KY. As I am nearing the end of high school, I am preparing myself for my future goals of being a college basketball student-athlete. I truly believe that being successful in this future goal means giving a full effort both on and off the court and I am committed to being a hard worker in the classroom and in sport. This is evidenced by  my recognitions during the 2022/23 school year by being ranked fourth in my class academically, earning 16th Region All Area Basketball, and the Fairview Independent High School Boys Basketball Rebounding award, Leadership Award, Sportsmanship Award and KHSAA 1st team All State Academic Team. In the 22/23 season I was named a member of the Phillip Wood Classic All Tournament team, Daily Independent All Area Team, and Herald Dispatch All Tri-State Honorable Mention. I believe that some of my strongest qualities include having a positive attitude and high levels of leadership by always being encouraging to my teammates and responding to feedback by implementing instruction that I am given. I hope to continue my education and basketball career in college and I look forward to opportunities to reach my goals.
