Senior year I am currently a junior at Thomas Nelson High School in Bardstown, KY. I am an involved student who is a member of numerous academic and social clubs at school. I love being with friends and playing ball. I have loved playing basketball and teaching and playing the game with others, since I was a young child. When I was 7, I played in my first AAU game and I knew from that moment basketball was my passion. I was a small kid and a late bloomer, but get my sights on playing ball and have worked out in the gym and on the court outside of regular practice to pursue my goal of playing college basketball.
I am not as fast as some players, and not as athletic as others, but I know I can earn a spot by putting in extra work.
I will be spending my senior year working in a early childhood center teaching the game of basketball to young kids. While working with these young kids, I hope to help a few them develop the same love and passion for the game of basketball that I have. I hope I can help them learn fundamentals, while also being a great coach, leader and mentor.
I am currently undecided on my field of study for college. As a student in Nelson County Schools I didn't have many strong male leaders or teachers in the classroom, until I started high school. I would like to see that change. I hope to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and begin teaching in my hometown, while also working on my Master's Degree. For this reason, and because I like working with kids I feel teaching may be something I would enjoy.
I started taking dual credit classes in the medical field last year and am possibly interested in pursuing a career in the medical field. I am currently taking classes through Elizabethtown Community and Technical College and enjoy the medical courses I have taken.
