I have been playing basketball since I was six years old. Since I first stepped on the court, I have aspired to play at the collegiate level. I'm great at drawing fouls, I have strong ball handling skills, very active hands on the defensive end, and a high basketball IQ and I'm also a deadly shooter. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players for any team I am a part of. I love the saying, "you can't jump higher than the ball". Which is true, I'm not afraid of the bigger people on the court. Most of the time I am one of the smallest. God didn't bless me with tremendous height, but he did bless me with the heart of a lion. I'll take heart over height any day. If there is a loose ball on the floor you can count on me to get it.
Off the court, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I understand that school is very important so I strive to be great on the court and in the classrooms.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself to the best of my abilities. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all peers and make my family proud. Not many people from my city have made it far with sports, but I do come from a basketball family. For me to make it will be a great feeling for my town, my friends, and family.
