Myles Johnson '19 Recruiting Profile

First and foremost, I am a child of God! I am humble, but determined to get a scholarship. I am a great player who takes pride in academics, nutrition, my body, individual work ethic: lifting weights, conditioning, athleticism, explosiveness, getting others better, leadership, film, practices, and games. I understand that it's not easy to earn offers, yet I have put in countless hours to achieve just that. 

As far as my game I am primarily a point guard, and very capable of playing the off guard position.  I have a strong frame and average speed. I know both aspects can and will be improved.  On the court, I am a reliable floor general. I have a very high IQ.  My mid range and 3-point shot is pure and close to automatic. I can easily get to any spot on the court and am a great finisher with each hand whether those are floaters or layups.I love getting teammates involved and setting them up for easy buckets.  My defense is tenacious, when I pressure the ball I create turnovers. I either take the ball from the ball handler, get my hand in the passing lane, or even block the shots and keep the ball in play.  When in help I am very willing of sacrificing my body for charges. I am a game changer!

Although all these attributes are carried by a lot of prospects, I still have my effort and heart. Every game, practice, or training session I compete to the best of my ability and find a way to get others around me to show more effort as well. It's contagious! That contributes to my leadership role. I will never settle for mediocrity and I love the game of basketball. It will be an honor to play for your program.
