Tom Brown '16 Recruiting Profile

Growing up as the 4th of 5 athletic children, I was introduced to sports at an early age and excelled at soccer, baseball, basketball and swimming.  I decided to focus on basketball in 8th grade because I had the most fun playing it and I liked the strategy of the game.  I have developed skills that make me extremely versatile.  I handle the ball exceptionally well, drive and finish with both hands, rebound well, shoot 3 pointers and am a good team defender.  With an extremely high basketball IQ, I am able to effectively read situations on and off the court to make the best decisions. Elected captain by my teammates, I realized that I am a strong respected leader and led my high school team to a state championship.  I strive to be the best I can be and never settle for losing.  I know how to win!  I am a strong academic student boasting a 4.1 weighted GPA, while being able to work on my game for numerous hours. My goal is to become a US history teacher at the high school or middle school level and coach someday.
