Jacob DiGiorgio '15 Recruiting Profile

My name  is Jake DiGiorgio and I discovered the game of basketball in the first grade.  Although I also play football and baseball and have competed in long distance running, basketball is, by far, my favorite sport. I will be a senior this fall at Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood, Michigan.  I would like to attend a university with a strong science and engineering school and competitive basketball program.

Through the years, I have been told by all my coaches that I am a hard worker, mentally tough, and very coachable.  Through playing and watching basketball for many years, I have acquired a high basketball IQ.

I believe good sportsmanship is an important element of the game.  Off the court, I believe in doing what is right, even if it is not the popular choice.  I take my school's athletic code of conduct very seriously and do my best to honor it.  While my peers are out socially, I can be often found in the gym.

Growing up my height has been an asset, and I have been working on my strength training the past few years.  I am in good cardiovascular condition and work on it daily, year round.  This past summer, I attended several exposure camps and participated in a summer league. Currently,  I am the leading scorer and rebounder on my high school team.  Which has just won its third straight conference title. As the playoffs are approaching I am working as hard as ever both on and off the court.

I have been a high-honor roll student every semester of my high school career.  My goal is to obtain the MHSAA scholar-athlete award my senior year.
