Ray Sumpter '19 Recruiting Profile

Basketball! I've had a passion for the game of basketball, since I was very young. I'm a senior at Adlai Stevenson High School-Sterling Heights, MI graduating in the class of 2019 and I have had the opportunity to play league basketball for 10 years at local city leagues, school leagues, and AAU leagues. The positions of Point Guard and Shooting Guard are my strengths and most often played positions, while understanding all the positions on the court and believing in being a team player. Currently, I play on the Varsity Basketball team in the starting line-up and I bring to the game, strong ball handling skills, court vision, high percentage field goal shots and free throws, drives to the basket, high number of assists and strong defensive skills. I do have goals and plan to attend college after graduating high school with an interest in studying Engineering, and it would be an even greater dream come true to be able to continue developing and contributing my athletic skills, abilities, and passion playing college basketball.
