Janine West '22 Recruiting Profile

I am determined to achieve my goals, both in the classroom and on the field. I have maintained a GPA of 4.0 for as long as I've had a GPA and I am already taking two courses in middle school that will count as high school credits at the end of the school year. In addition to hard work at school, I work hard on my sports as well. I have recently been selected to play at the USSSA All American Games this summer. I took swings and fielded balls every day to get that spot and I will not stop working in order to achieve my many other goals in softball. However, softball is not my only sport. I also play volleyball at the club level and as of last year have ran track for my school. Similar to softball in both track and volleyball I set myself goals to work towards. Pushing myself to be the best I can be. Yet, the most important thing to me is being apart of a team: the special bonds and connections, working towards goals together, everyone pushing each other to be their best and being their to pick them up when they fall down. To me being a team is being a family, and that is extremely meaningful to me. (2018)
