Luke Wilson '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Luke Wilson and I reside in Pine City, Minnesota.  I have a strong work ethic both in the classroom and gym. I take my studies seriously and I love to compete on the basketball court. I continue to dedicate my time in the weightroom and working on my shot.  I am passionate about the game of basketball and have been playing as long as I can remember.  I enjoy studying the game in filmwork, conversations, as well as consuming as much basketball and strategy as I can.

I am a positive team player. I work to get people their shots and I lead our team in assists my sophomore and junior years.  I encourage others when they get down and try to motivate the team to get the job done. I am highly competitive but understand that losing builds character too. Our HS basketball team has been conference champions for the last five years in a row and I am proud to have been a part of the last three.  This is something we as a team have worked really hard for and I take pride in this. I will be doing everything in my power to bring home our program’s 6th in a row next winter.  I am proud to be a part of such a winning and respected program.

My commitment, work ethic, and coach-ability sets me apart from others. I continue to learn about the game of basketball and continue to develop a high IQ.  At the end of the game, it's expected the ball will be in my hands to make the right decision.  

I stay on top of my school work to achieve good grades as I know this is going to assist me in my future. I recognize that I am a role model for the younger students who come to watch me play at our basketball games. Off the court, it's important to be of good character and have high integrity. I know that has been instilled in me from my parents growing up. When I am not hitting the books or on the basketball court, I like being outside, jet skiing, boating, swimming, and with friends and teammates. I am also in the Pine City High School choir and enjoy singing.
