***COMMITED TO PLAY FOOTBALL AT BELHAVEN UNIVERSITY**

Basketball has always been a passion of mine, since I was about five years old.  I started playing basketball, at church, when I was 6 years old.  Since then, I have always had a dream to play basketball in college  However, I also have the goal to get my college degree.  Being in the Boy Scout program, I have been exposed to many fields and career possibilites.  At first I thought I wanted to be an engineer.  My heart, however, evolves around children, especially those with special needs.  Since playing basketball, at my school, I have become very interested in the field of sports medicine and physical therapy.  

I follow the 12 points of scouting: A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.  I use these 12 points of Scouting in my daily life.  It helps me to be a good student, classmate, teammate, and leader.  My parents taught me that grades always come first. Without a good education, I know I cannot be what I want to be when I finish high school. Grades will always be there, even if my dream of playing sports in college isn't. Thanks to my parents, I have developed good study habits. Those habits come in handy when I am on the road for games. 
When I do all of these, I know that I am doing all that I can to be the best that I am.
