Personal Statement
I have always been a standout. From the day I was born with my twin sister, everyone knew I was unique and today is no different. From that day, I have been surrounded by all the things that are still important to me today. My family, sport, technology and music have always been the things that drive me forward. My family have taught me valuable lessons in love, respect, faith and support. That I have in me the capability to achieve whatever I set my mind to. I've played all sorts of sports like athletics, soccer, rugby union and Australian rules football but I'm most passionate about my basketball. I've played with local, school and representative clubs since I was 10 years old and have also spent the last 4 years refereeing and coaching 10 and 12 year old children. I have always strived to exceed both my parents and my own expectations when it came to my sport but more importantly my studies. I may never be the most academic student but I always strive to achieve the best that I can, whatever I focus my energies on. My other biggest passion is technology. Information and computer technology has surrounded me since I was born as my father works in the industry and he always encouraged an enthusiasm in all things technology and this is certainly a career direction I would like to pursue in the future. Hopefully with the help of basketball, I can combine two of my favourite past times to achieve my dreams of world travel and career success.
