I believe that I am more myself when I am on the track or the courts playing the sports I love, while striving to improve my skills as well as my teammates. I am also much more than just a player, being very active in school, community and at home with my family.
This past year I participated in the Academic Olympics where I'm happy to say we took first in our division. I'm very passionate about track but I also enjoy a numerous sports and activities such as football, basketball, golf, hiking, hunting and fishing. I'm also involved in a number of fundraisers for my school, church and community that not only benefits my community but the surrounding communities around us as well. Volunteering, fundraising, collecting food and clothing for the church as well as nonprofit organizations within our community and surrounding communities are also some of the things I really love doing as well. Every year I handout bags for the homeless that include water, personal hygiene supplies and over the counter medication. When I travel to different communities I take these bags along and hand them out to the less fortune. My family and I also donate care gift packages throughout the year to those serving in the armed forces. I believe that it is just as important to not only be a good player but also make an impact in the world by being involved. I have learned that you can have all the skills you think you need but it is not just about you but also about your teammates and being a great team player. I have also been blessed with the opportunity to play for the NBC International Basketball Team this June, 2022 and I will travel to the United Kingdom with this great organization.
As a Freshman I was so grateful for the opportunity to play for our Varsity Track team and blessed that I was able to race with other top runner at the Montana Top 10 for our area and go on to State level. I look forward to more opportunities as this year.
