I love running, it's fun, and it helps clear your mind. I am a very competitive person and am willing to try new techniques to help me be a better athlete. I come from a family of six. My mom and Dad adopted my two sisters and I. My other two siblings are my adoptive siblings. I decided that I wanted to do track because of my love of running, but it wasn't just that it also was the influence of my classmates and family members. Doing Track & Field has taught me things I didn't know about myself. I've realized that I was fast, but my experience has told me to try new things and to figure out what you're good at.
When I first started to do Track & Field, I was in Eighth grade. It was just an experiment, but it was that year that I finally found a sport that I love to do. I continued to do Track & Field throughout my freshman year, but during my Sophomore year I had to have surgery on my right knee. My surgeon had told me I might not be able to run again, but I pushed through it all with my physical therapist. I am back on my feet a year and a half later and working towards my previous goals.
