Personal Statement
The details that have most influenced who I am include growing up in rural Montana and having the opportunity to experience everything the outdoors has to offer. Although I played basketball beginning in fifth grade, I first became truly interested in basketball in eighth grade, when I had the opportunity to play on our high school team. I have learned by playing basketball that I can be very passionate about something and that confidence makes all the difference. My academic goals for high school are to finish with my honors diploma and as a member of the National Honor Society. My academic goals for college are undecided, but I plan to learn more about my interests by taking general education courses and exploring a variety of programs. I have experienced a number of obstacles to get where I am today. My freshman year of high school I had an elbow injury that required surgery and a cast until the end of the regular season and my junior year I broke my wrist, requiring surgery before the basketball season began. I had to work extremely hard during both of these years to build strength back in my arm. It took a lot of time and dedication to get where I am today, as the top scorer on my team. I hope you will look closely at my profile and highlight videos in your search for your next college athlete.
