I would like to get a biology degree so that after college I would be able to pursue a career as a game warden or biologist studying animals. I enjoy spending much of my free time hunting with my dad and my grandma. I believe that I would be a good candidate for your team because I never have a bad attitude, I will work my hardest and give 110 percent each and everytime i step on the court. I have really been working hard this season on being a team leader and trying to lead by example. My academics have been a struggle for a few years but my parents got me involved with an eye doctor that has put me through therapy to help strengthen my eyes. It has helped me in my athletics and especially in my academics, I'm looking to have my best year yet and my GPA has improved from a 2.1 my sophomore year, to almost a 2.9 halfway through my junior year. I have set a goal for the second half of the school year to improve my GPA to a 3.2.
At the end of my junior year I received our schools inaugural award for athlete of the year. This award was voted on by the coaches in my school. I was very honored to receive this award. It does make me feel appreciated by the teachers in my school, they all say that I am a good leader and good with the younger kids. Hopefully i can find a way to utilize this asset in my future college career.
