I have loved volleyball since my first experience playing in 4th grade summer camp. Since then, volleyball has developed to be a passion of mine from watching it to playing it myself. Through the years, I have grown from playing at local camps and on my school team to attending camps throughout the state and playing on the Nebraska D-League Team. These experiences have increased my skills, confidence, and leadership on and off the court.
I am dedicated to volleyball and work hard to improve in all areas, which has allowed me to be a more diversified player. Whether I am needed as a setter on my school team or a hitter on D-League, I know that I need to be skilled in all areas.
I have learned from my family that with hard work, determination, and perseverance success can be achieved. Therefore, with a volleyball net located at my home and family campground, I have access to further my skills no matter where I am at. By recording my practice sessions and games, I have been able to analyze my movements and self-improve. I welcome and take coaches comments seriously and stive to improve each day.
I believe communication on the court is vital to success. Trust in your teammates and their ability to perform is also crucial. Whether playing or supporting my team from the sidelines, I believe it is important to show encouragement and enthusiasm. A positive attitude and never-give-up mindset is essential.
I believe it is also important to live my life with integrity. I know all my life choices have consequences and I stive to be a positive role model for others.
Managing my work schedule, academics, FCCLA, and family life, with my volleyball schedule has been fundamental in my learning to balance life responsibilities.
My goal is to play volleyball in college while earning my degree in Early Childhood or Athletic Trainer.
