Jack Walker '25 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coaches, 

     I know I’d be a valuable asset to your team. I can skillfully play positions 1-5 and can consistently score when the opportunity is there. What truly sets me apart from the other athletes is my willingness to be coached.  I listen to what the coaches are telling me, as well as what they are telling other players. There's always an opportunity to learn from other player's mistakes.  I'm known for my positive attitude on the court and bench.  I don't let my emotions get the best of me, which helps me dominate my opponent.  I don't showboat, but keep my head in the game.  My goal is to make the team better,  whether that means defending the best ball handler when he’s hot, or scoring when we need momentum.  My strength is knowing what's going on all over the court and creating offensive opportunities, or denying the opponent.  Keeping a positive mindset and doing what needs to be done will always be something you can count on. 

     Helping others is important.  I spend time mentoring younger players and I volunteer as a youth leader for programs at my church.  I have a part-time job to take care of some of my own expenses.  I'm looking forward to a challenging academic year to prove I can handle rigorous coursework and earn admission to my choice of colleges where I can continue to work hard in the classroom, weight room, and on the court.
