Jon Mallek '21 Recruiting Profile

My son Xavier is scheduled to play at Passaic County Community College in NJ this coming season. He's 6'3", has a tremendous BB IQ, and can shoot from anywhere. I would love for him to play at a 4 year school eventually, so I was hoping you might be interested at some point taking a look at him. He will immediately become your favorite player, just ask his AAU coach. It would be a great story too since he came from the streets of Paterson NJ and was adopted by me a few years ago. He's a great kid that needs a break. He wrote the below paragraph when he was a freshman n high school.

"My name is Xavier Mallek, AKA X-Nation,  X-Man or simply X.  I am a freshman at Passaic Valley Regional High School in Little Falls NJ.  I started on the JV team last season and I also play for the Jersey Pioneers AAU team out of Paterson NJ.  I love handling the ball and can shoot from almost anywhere on the court.  I idolize Pistol Peter Maravich because I feel he really was the one that changed the guard position into what it has become today.  His ball handling skills and use of deception were second to none.  I feel I am that type of player because I am constantly working on my skills and my ability to see the entire floor.,  just like The Piston did.  I also consider myself a coach on the floor as I help to direct and motivate the other players around me by thinking pass first.  I had a rough start with academics this year after being on the honor roll in 8th grade, but I''m starting to figure out what it takes to be a successful student/athlete at this level.  I love the game, it is everything to me".
