Luke Gaymon '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Luke Gaymon and I am a 9th grader at Cherokee High School. I've been playing basketball since 1st grade and it has always been my passion. I am a team player and I always want to help make the team better.  In fact, one of my grade schools coaches said that I remind him of his favorite quote from Brad Stevens, "How good can we expect to be if our best player is not our best teammate." I always look to help others on the team and maintain a positive outlook.

Growing up I've always watched basketball and feel I have a great understanding of the game. I have learned through the years playing at various levels that you're not always going to win but to me it is important to build good team chemistry, continue to improve and make each other better.

My academic interests include business and sales and marketing and I realize that working hard in the classroom is just as important as working hard on my game.
