I am an extremely hard worker when it comes to academics and sports. I am currently taking Honors classes as a freshman as well as working to make the high school basketball and lacrosse teams. I continuously strive to better myself in the field and in the classroom to be the best version of myself. I feel that every day we are learning new things about ourselves, and how we use that information makes us better.
Update 3/14 - I will not be playing Varsity Lacrosse in my Freshman year due to an injury. My Quadriceps muscle tore off the top of my Tibia during basketball practice when I was preparing to dunk the basketball. The technical term for this is an Avulsion of the Tibial Tuberosity, which happens to 1% of athletes who are still growing. I am determined to complete my physical therapy and come back stronger next year.
Update 4/29 - After two weeks of physical therapy, I am now allowed to walk around without a brace. I continue to get stronger every day in hopes of a quicker recovery and to start training again. Since I can't work on my legs in the gym, I am focused on getting stronger mentally and physically (upper body) for now.
Update 6/6 - As I continue to heal, I have been able to do more through physical therapy. I have been able to work on my legs using weights and plyometrics, getting stronger each week. I have been allowed to start jogging, using an elliptical, and riding a bike to help strengthen my left leg muscle. If I continue on this progression, I should be able to start playing again in the coming months.
Update 9/27 - I am fully healed and back to playing basketball. Right now, I am playing on an AAU basketball team, getting ready for my sophomore season to start. I can't wait to show everyone how you can come back from such a traumatic injury and get back on the lacrosse field.
2/10 After a successful season playing JV Basketball for my High School Team, I am now preparing for my lacrosse season where I play Varsity D-Pole.
