2017 HighlightsMy dream of playing at the college level for basketball started at the age of 3. The first love (outside of my family) I had was basketball, before I truly understood what religion was, so the only thing I dreamt about is excelling at the sport I love as well as getting a good education. By playing basketball, I have learned to develop a great work-ethic in which I work out 6 days a week and play basketball 12 months a year. I try to do what I'm supposed to do, even when someone isn't watching me, because I improve not only for myself, but for those who have believed in me, especially my brother. Basketball has also brought out my leadership skills as well. I was selected as the team captain of my freshman team because my teammates told me that I always held them accountable and kept them on task. My maturity also contributes to a ball club because I can help my teammates be calm during crunch time. During my high school career, I definitely believe that my team can win a Group 4 State Championship and I believe that I will be a huge part of their success. I also want to go to a school that suits my academic prowess, since I excel at the academic level. Consequently, it has always been a dream of mine to play basketball at the college level and potentially beyond, as well as strengthen my characteristics as a human being.
