As I look to my future, I can say that I’m absolutely grateful for the opportunity to get my education. Where I am from they do not really have too much but they always find a way to feed their families and that is one thing I like about Senegal. Though my parents sacrificed a lot of their time and money to get into the United States none of them was able to further their education. This motivates me to appreciate hard work and dedication. With that in mind, my goal is to become an NBA player or a business owner so that I can help people in need with the wealth that I have.
When I arrived in the United States back in 2013, I worried that I would not get an education because I couldn’t speak english. But then my parents kept pushing me to try harder than ever and 3 months later I spoke good english and ended up in the principal on a roll in my final year of Elementary school. So I thank my parents for doing that. What I learned from that experience was anything is possible you just have to put your mind into it, I can achieve more then I wanna achieve.i have always set high goals for myself-every school year I achieve then and sometimes I achieve even the higher goal. I believe everyone should be given the opportunity to enjoy the gift of life, as I was given.
My high school career has prepared me for college because I learned a lot about how college is gonna be and what’s it gonna look like. And in my last year in high school I expect to achieve and get engaged in more college classes under my sleeve. I strongly believe that my duty is to help people in need, and I hope to bring peace and happiness to countries around the world.
