Personal Statement
I’m Marco Camassa from Cresset Christian Academy in Durham, North Carolina.
I believe I’m a great fit for any college because I will do whatever it takes to make the team win from on the court, on the bench, and off the court.
Basketball is the most important thing to me with academics. I wish to find a team in which I can contribute with my skills, but I’m also hoping to find a good school from the academic point of view.
The thing I believe that separates me from other players is my hustle on and off the court and I always try to work on my weakness to improve and widen my game.
I’ve played basketball since I was 7, in Italy, playing first for my city team and then I was offered a spot on an other club team called Cantú and then changed once again to play closer to home for family reasons.
I play basketball for my school team, and this school season, COVID permitting, I would like to finish my high school journey by giving back to the school with there first championship. I also play AAU, to keep me active and to gain more experience.
I believe that my 6 years of basketball in Italy made me have a broader view of the game.
The next step for me is to take my game to an other level and help a team win.
I know that most recruits want to play college ball just to say they made it, but I want to play to win and improve, because basketball really represents a big part of my life.
