What I lack in height, I make up for in heart. I fell in love with the game of basketball when I joined my fourth-grade team. Ever since that first bucket, I have had an undying passion for the game. I have realized recently that I want to pursue an athletic career in college. My work ethic has been there from the beginning. From staying late after practice to waking up at 5:30 to get shots up before school. Also, I am a great teammate on and off the court. I have a very high basketball IQ and understand the game. I truly believe I have what it takes to compete at the collegiate level.
My junior year did not go as planned. In late December I tore my Acl during a game. I got surgery on February 11 and have been recovering since then. This injury has taught me a lot about myself. I learned that life does not always go as planned and you have to roll with the punches. The most important thing this injury has taught me is to never give up. It sounds cheesy, but I have applied this mentality to everything I do now. I will not give up on my dreams to play college sports
