John Paul Spray '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is John Paul Spray and thank you for taking time to read my profile.  I am 17 years old and a Junior at Elyria Catholic High School and am in the Graduating Class of 2024.  I have a passion for all things basketball whether it is playing, studying film or watching at all competitive levels.  I work hard on and off the court and challenge myself to always do better.  You will often find me arriving early to practice and staying over where required so I can work on my areas of improvement.  On the court I'm vocal and I help my team with defensive positions and other situational transitions.  This is one of my strengths regarding basketball as it is a team sport, and I value the need to support and lead my team wherever possible. I practice my shooting on a daily basis where I can put up 300 to 400 shots in a session.  Off the court I have a 3.6 GPA.  My balance between sports and the classroom will continue to make me a better student and is valuable for my preparation for college.  I recently completed a very fulfilling Varsity Soccer season with my High School.  I found this to be a tremendous asset to my endurance and stamina on the basketball court.  I've been in involved with school and club soccer since I was 7 years old.  Ultimately my goal is to play basketball at the college level and to continue to improve as a player and as a student.
