My goal is to be a key player on my college basketball team. What makes me different from other recruits is that I will outwork every other player--in games, in practice, and in individual training. On my high school team, I alternate between shooting guard and point guard, averaging 20.0 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 2.8 SPG, and 2.7 APG. I consistently score from different areas on the floor. I am lethal driving to the basket and I can hit jumpers from the perimeter. I love to earn assists by hitting my teammates with great passes. Two accomplishments I achieved this year were scoring my 1,000th career point and making my first dunk in a game. I am a strong defensive player due to my athleticism, quickness, and wingspan. Although I lost my father to a fatal accident last year, he taught me the value of hard work on our family farm. I want my college coaches to know that they can never work me too hard. I am accustomed to daily weight and skills training and several hours of practice with my high school and AAU teams. As a teacher’s kid, I was raised to value education, and I have a 3.5 GPA. Even though I attend a small Division IV high school, I have played against some great DI and D2 teams. I have experienced adversity, and I am resilient enough to overcome any challenge. I know I have what it takes to be a successful team player for your college.
