I believe athletics are a microcosm of life. My experiences as a Christian athlete have been significant in shaping my identity, grounding me in who I am spiritually and helping me in my desire to transition from high school student to college. A basketball player is not all that I am but it has helped to propel my growth through team competition, respect for boundaries, leadership opportunities and developed a work ethic required to excel in organized athletics that I believe can be an asset to the right college program.
