I have grown up in a very rural area. This has been both a blessing and a challenge as far as my sports career this far!!! The one good thing is there's not much else to do but practice practice practice. My mother was a high school and college athlete and has taught me the difference between good and great. It's heart it's drive and it's me. I know if I want to succeed to improve and thrive that nobody can make me do it it's deep down inside it's close my eyes grit my teeth and push myself more everyday. The balance I have learned between sports and academics is most important. I have been the man of the "da house" for my mom and sister. Family is first, my team is my family, and I try to be a leader while at the same time trusting the give and take relationship I have with my teammates. Every practice, every game, and every day is an opportunity to CARPE DIEM!!! I bring a level of intensity that is balanced with humility and the hunger and drive to better myself. However, there is no I in team and I welcome every experience positive and negative to grow and learn.
