Personal Statement

My main goal is to play college basketball one day and compete with the best. I love working hard and doing what I can do  best for my team and coach.  I love the grind and commitment.

Currently (2022) - I am playing on three teams for the winter season. Each team I am learning and developing different levels of leadership.

1. My 8th grade school team (Coventry Christian) - my teammates aren't really basketball players so I have to carry the team by leading them and encouraging them.  Of course I need to perform well during the games.  Competition is not very good. In order for our team to win, I have to be more assertive on offense and look to score a lot.  Currently I am averaging close to 30 points.

2. ICBA travel team for my local public school district (Springford) - I have stronger teammates with some very talented players.  I need to lead but in a different way (holding the team to be accountable and practice hard as the team members may not take as serious as me).  Competition is decent on some of the better teams but not very good on the middle to lower teams in our area.  In order for our team to win, I do need to look for my shot but am looking more to get the team involved first.  They need my defensive intensity, strong decision making and my three against the zone defenses the teams tend to play against us.  Currently I am averaging about 18 points. This team won the state championship in March 2023 at PSU.

3. AAU team (Pure Game Hoops) - all of the kids are the best players on their middle school teams.  Being a leader is needed on this team but it comes more to play in the game to get the team set up and focused each position as most guys are pretty focused in practice.  The competition level is elite as we are currently doing Made Hoops (winter circuit-East).  In order for us to win, I do need to hunt for my shot and remember at this level of competition being aggressive and quicker decision making is needed on offense.  Currently I am averaging about 15 points.

  • Bryce Correia - Received a standout write-up (40 teams at the event). Only Freshman to receive a write-up. Bryce Correia (2027 | Coventry Christian) Correia is lightning quick with the ball in his hand and a decisive lead guard as a freshman. He can get downhill against truly tough defenders, as he did against Delco Christian in Saturday’s game. His penetration sets the table for his players as he forces the help defender to make a decision for him to either pull up in the lane or dish to a diving big man for the finish at the rim. Off the bounce, he nailed a side-step three off of contact driving downhill. We look forward to seeing the development of Correia as a scorer and lead guard. https://www.cityofbasketballlove.com/news_article/show/1289703

  • The MADE Hoops Academies are an intense, highly competitive, skill driven camp designed for 5th-8th grade boys & 6th-8th grade girls. Through dynamic drill stations that teach modern basketball concepts, campers are able to expand their skills in a competitive environment. While skill development is certainly the main component of the Academy, we also highly value the evaluation piece of our product. We are a national media outlet with connections to the highest level of the sport. Through 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 game play, as well as NBA Style Combine Testing, our staff will able to evaluate each prospect in layers. Current skill level, basketball IQ, and future projection will all be highlighted by our staff, as these aspects of the game are coveted by coaches at the highest levels of basketball. The goal of the camp is to not only develop the skills of our youth, but to find out which prospects have what it takes to be the next generation of stars in the basketball stratosphere. If you're looking to compete at the highest level of the sport, then the MADE Hoops Middle School Academy is the first stop on your basketball journey.
