John Kennedy '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a senior (3 year Letterman) at AAAAA Boiling Springs High School in Spartanburg, SC and have played with Upward Stars (SC) for the last 3 years in Travel. Playing in a tough region helps me to improve my knowledge and strengthen my skills each time I step on the court. I am an unselfish Point Guard/Shooting Guard with high court IQ that will protect the ball, run the offense, knock down the open jump shot and play tight defense. My strengths are knowledge of the game, defense, hustle, unselfishness, and a deep shooting range. Being a basketball coach's son has given me the advantage of being around the game from an early age and understanding the qualities that a basketball player should have.

I am currently taking dual enrollment classes for college credit and I take academics serious (3.6 GPA). My goal is to get a great college education while playing basketball and make life-long friends with my teammates and coaches. I also enjoy my time as a Youth Leader during the summer at Boiling Springs First Baptist.
