Bailey Wiseman '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Bailey Wiseman.  I am a freshman and I started on my high school varsity team (James Island Trojans) this past season as a freshman.  James Island plays in the AAAAA division which contains the largest schools in South Carolina.  I did not start at first but I worked very hard and by the fourth or fifth game I was a starter.  I scored 16 points in my very first varsity game.  On the season, I averaged 10 points a game and had season highs of 25 against Ashley Ridge High School (including a game winning three with less than twenty seconds in the game) and 22 against West Ashley High School.  I hit 47 three pointers for my freshman season.  I was given an Honorable Mention for the All Lowcountry High School Boys Basketball Team by the Post and Courier newspaper (local paper in Charleston SC which considered the high school players in the surrounding four counties).  I was also named to the 2017/2018 South Carolina All Rookie team by the South Carolina High School Sports Report.   

I can play point or shooting guard and played both this season.

If there is one thing you should know about me is that I work hard.  I go to school early every day (around 630 am) to shoot before school starts.  I work out twice to three times a day between shooting and weights and vertical exercises.  I shoot 1500-2000 shots per week.  I am determined to play college basketball.  I have improved my vertical and am now grabbing the rim.  I plan to be dunking by end of summer.  I have played travel basketball since fourth grade.  For the past three years I have played on the Coastal Purple Raiders and the TMP travel programs.  Last season I averaged about 19 a game on the Raiders and 10 a game on TMP.  I played more point on TMP and shot less.   I am as happy to share the ball and get assists as I am to score.
