To this point in my young career, my greatest basketball achievement was helping to lead my team to this year's state tournament. My school had not been to the state tournament in several years and was a great accomplishment for our team. With my dad being a high school coach since the day I was born, I was able to spend thousands of hours in the gym growing up and watching older players. When I was in middle school my dad became an assistant coach at a DII college and that is where I really learned what it was like to "work" at this game. I would go to almost every workout and practice and learn first hand how hard players work at the college level. Those learned lessons have helped mold me into the player I am today. I continually strive to improve my game and work extremely hard at becoming an all around player. I love to compete and take pride in the fact that I am a three sport athlete.
I not only strive to be a great player, but I also work hard on my academics. I have been on the academic honor roll all three semesters of my high school career and will also be on it this semester. To this point, I am not quite sure what degree I would want to pursue in college. I do know that I would want a college that would fit both academically and athletically when it comes time to decide. Until then, I will continue to be a leader on and off the court, I will work my tail off, make my team and teammates better, and to become the best player I can.
