Playing basketball at the college level would be a great honor for me. I possess a high basketball IQ, am a great teammate, and bring many intangibles to the table. My defensive intensity and passing ability I feel are the best aspects of my game. I always try to lead by example on the court and try to do what’s best for the team. I will not turn 17 until September of this year and I have accepted the challenge of playing up one age group since I began playing AAU basketball in my 7th grade year.
Off the court, my academics are something I take very seriously. I am taking Advanced Placement and Honors courses this year and will continue in my senior year. I am actively engaged in the Student Government and was recently selected as the secretary for the Class of 2019. I plan on volunteering at a local animal shelter during the summer and will seek out other opportunities to serve the community.
I'm confident that if given the opportunity I can be a great asset to a college basketball program. I welcome all opportunities from different types of schools and I think I can fit in just about anywhere. The most important thing for me is to find a place I can excel both on and off the court.
