Personal Statement
Winning the sub-state and making it to the state tournament as Varsity team sophomore in 2020 has been the highlight of my career so far! I’ve faced various challenges over the years, a coach who doubted my ability and sometimes getting caught up in bad games. I've listened, talked to coaches, parents, mentors and took feedback to mature and focus on improving myself. This time helped me to build a stronger mental mindset and work on becoming a solid guard and teammate capable of playing at the next level. My work doesn't stop. In the off-season, I spent time with teammates to build relationships and trust, talked with my coach about team goals and put in work outside the gym to bring my best to my team. In 2020-21, as a first year High School we won the District and I was named All District.
The game has taught me to be disciplined in the classroom, as well as how to work through challenges outside of the sport and school. I am academically focused and will continue this in college, earning a 4 year degree that will carry me into Chiropractic school.
I am looking for a basketball program that will be a good fit for me athletically and academically. I have the talent to compete for a college team, and have the work-ethic, character, and communication skills to make an impact on your program. I look forward to the opportunity!
