Sandor DeMos '28 Recruiting Profile

From the moment I step on the court, I know this is where I belong. Basketball is not just a game, but a practice that gives me my purpose, direction and discipline. Since I started playing at age seven, nothing has given me more satisfaction than being part of a basketball team and watching in recent years my skill on the court skyrocket like I could not have imagined. I relish the connection I have with my coaches, my team, and ultimately the life-giving energy of competitive play. I am a versatile player with both a strong offensive and defensive game. I am proud of being a top scoring player on my high school freshman team, and I look forward to varsity play this coming year. I am often the defensive player opponents cannot easily get around to score, and I can work the board like no one else. My skill continues to grow this summer in AAU tournaments each weekend. I am grateful for all of it, because basketball grounds me like nothing else, as I successfully continue to pursue my academic goals, as well as my goal of playing college basketball. As a top student and athlete at Anderson, I will spend the next three high school years continually improving my game as well as being a strong leader, both on and off the court. With hard work, consistency and trusting my coaches, I look forward to all of the opportunities that will surely come my way.
