My next goal in life is to play basketball at the college level and get a college degree.
I am currently a junior at Bridgelands High School in Cypress, Texas and play on the Varsity Basketball Team. I was recently awarded the "Hard Hat" award for my hard work and always "placing myself about my teammates".
I have learned to work through many hardships in my personal life as my brother was sent to prison when I was 10 years old. This was very hard on me and my family. I made myself a goal to always work hard at whatever I do to be a good man and a respected person in my community. I am the first to arrive at practice and usually the last to leave. I set the example in the weight room for others to follow. I work just has hard outside of practice as I participate in AAU where I average 16 points a game and am the Captain of the team.
I also work hard at being a good teammate and member of the community. I help other students with disabilities in the classroom and do whatever I can to be a positive influence for those around me. I share my experiences in life concerning my brother to those who will benefit from it and assisting them on staying on the right path.
I look forward to continuing my education and playing basketball at the next level.
